Funeral service for Charles Brasher, 83, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time. Survivors include his wife, Mollie Fields Brasher; children, Sandra Jo Norton (Steve), Deb Messer (Ricky), Char Taylor (Johnny), Terry Fields (Sherri) and Donna Lisa Brasher Esters; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, Andrew Brasher (Judy) and Mike Graves (Mary); several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. Pallbearers will be Brandon Taylor, Brandon Luckado, Justin Noah, Jackson Fields, Dustin Benitez, Chad Messer, Justin Dodge and Johnny Buse. Honorary pallbearer will be Hunter Taylor. Mr. Brasher graduated from Alexandria High School in 1952 and received an associate's degree in mechanical technical design from Marietta Cobb Technical College in 1967. He retired in June of 2001 from Anniston Army Depot as an Industrial Engineer Technician. The family requests donation be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in honor of Angelynn Luckado.
