Charles (Charlie) A. White "PawPaw", 72, husband of Joy Cook White passed away July 17, 2017. Born in Anniston January 10, 1945, he was a son of the late Hughey Shuble and Mary Catherine Porter White. Charlie graduated from Samford University in Birmingham and worked as a regional sales manager out of Atlanta for forty years. He later entered his passion of coaching at Canongate Elementary in Coweta County retiring after ten years of service where he was their beloved "Coach Charlie". Charlie had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and was active at SonRise Church in Newnan. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He played sports in high school and college and enjoyed coaching youth. His interests included fishing, golfing, playing the bass guitar, motorcycling, holiday decorating and watching Alabama football. Everyone enjoyed his humor and stories. Charlie was a generous, big-hearted guy. In addition to his parents, of Anniston, he was preceded in death by a brother, Hughey White Jr., of Birmingham. Surviving, in addition to his wife of fifty years, are children, C. Andrew White Jr. and wife, Kacey, and Amy Vickery and husband, Vick, all of Newnan; grandchildren, Abigail, Mary Kathryn and C. Andrew White III, and a loving extended family. A memorial service will be conducted Thursday, July 27, 2017, at 2 p.m. at SonRise Church, 6 Shenandoah Blvd E, Newnan, with Reverend Skeeter Thompson officiating. Honorary escort will be members of the Celebrate Recovery Ministry at SonRise Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall of the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to SonRise Church Celebrate Recovery Ministry, 6 Shenandoah Blvd E, Newnan, GA 30265 or to Gideon's International at Gideons International, P.O.
