Graveside service for Charles Nabors, 83, will be Saturday, April 11, 2015, 11:30 a.m. at Forestlawn Gardens. The Rev. Chris Spurlin will be officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at Miller Funeral Home. Mr. Nabors passed away on Wednesday at NHC in Anniston, Ala. Survivors include his daughters, Lindy Brooks (Richard), Dianell Butt (Steve), Patricia Cruse (Phil); brothers, James Nabors (Lois), Cecil Nabors, Wayne Nabors; sister, Wilma Holden; sister-in-law, Jeanetta Nabors; grandchildren, Steven Cruse (Leslie), Kyle Cruse, Tammy Daniel, Tabitha Bowman, Chris Butt, Nathan Butt ( Amber), Matthew Butt; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Steven Cruse, Kyle Cruse, Chris Butt, Nathan Butt, Matthew Butt and Roger Brown. Mr. Nabors was a resident of Oxford. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. Mr. Nabors was in the US Navy from 1951 - 1955. He retired from Anniston Army Depot. Mr. Nabors enjoyed painting, yardwork, cooking, going to church, antiques and watching Alabama Football. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations may be made Lakeview Baptist Church New Church Sign Fund. Mr. Nabors was preceded in death by his parents, J.L. and Hattie Nabors; sister, Bettie Nabors; a brother, Jerre Nabors.
