Munford - Mr. Charles Thomas Chatman was born on September 8, 1943 to the union of Mr. Samuel Chatman and Mary Lou Jones Chatman in Talladega County. Mr. Chatman was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a graduate of Phyllis Wheatley High School. Charles was retired from Solutia, Inc. and Pryor Giggey Co. He was called to his eternal rest on January 28, 2015 at his residence. He was preceded in death by parents, Samuel and Mary Lou Chatman; two sisters, Sarah Twyman and Gloria Jean Ashley and four brothers, James Chatman, David Chatman, William Chatman and Willie Chatman. He is survived by his wife, Leslie Chatman, of Munford; a daughter, Vickye Suttle of, Talladega; sons, Kenneth Chatman, Charles Chatman Jr., Larry Chatman and Jerome Chatman, of Talladega, Dontae Chevis, of Jacksonville and Brandon Moore; sisters, Susie Chatman and Vanessa Chatman, of Talladega, Carolyn (Frank) McMillian, of Childersburg and Betty (Leo) Spencer, of Amityville, N.Y.; brothers, Samuel (Jessie) Chatman Jr., Lawrence Chatman and Ambro Chatman, of Childersburg, Terry (Jackie) Chatman, of Talladega and Larry (Barbara) Chatman, of Alpine; seven grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
