Funeral service for Charlie William Abbott, 86, formerly of Anniston, Ala. will be Saturday, January 9, 2016, 2 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home. The Rev. Tim Thomas and Steve Abbott will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Munford. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Abbott passed away on Monday at Fairhaven Retirement Center. Survivors include his son, Steve Abbott (Nan); grandchildren, Les Abbott (Kim), Jason Abbott (Deborah), Clint Thomas (Shelleye) Cameron Jones; great-grandchildren, Zoe Thomas, Sterling Thomas, Ashley Abbott, Luke Abbott, Trinity Thomas, Teddy Jones, Audrey Abbott; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Mr. Abbott was retired from the Anniston Army Depot. He was a member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. Abbott was an avid gardener and fishermen.
