Funeral service for Charline Farris "Mer" McFall, 81, will be Sunday, February 8, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. William Cain officiating. Burial will follow at Piedmont Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6-8 p.m. Mrs. McFall passed away Friday, February 6, 2015, at Piedmont Health Care Center. Survivors include three children, Diann Heilman (John), of Huntsville, Timothy McFall and Shelia Cain (Rev. William), all of Piedmont; three grandchildren, Kathryn Heilman, Rachel Heilman and Jenny Cain; one brother, Winford Kines (Roberta), of Spring Garden; several nieces and nephews and caregivers, Elsie Parris, Bobbie Pace, Mary Smart and Jennie Prater. Pallbearers will be Rodney Kines, James Parris, Chad Mobley, Leon McFall, Bobby McFall and Lance Williamson. Honorary pallbearer will be Jacob Mobley. Mrs. McFall was a Piedmont resident most of her life. She was a member of Asberry Baptist Church and retired from Ft. McClellan as a unit secretary. She loved crocheting, antiquing and working in her flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie McFall and parents, Charlie and Dora Kines. The family would like to thank the staff of Piedmont Health Care for the the wonderful care and compassion given during her stay there.
