A graveside service for Mrs. Charlotte Mains, 78, will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Forestlawn Gardens with the Reverend Dr. Roland Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs. Mrs. Mains passed away on April 10, 2014, at Noland Hospital in Anniston. Mrs. Mains had been a resident of Ypsilanti, Michigan for many years before relocating to Calhoun County. She was a Protestant and was a former member of the Eastern Star and the VFW Auxiliary. Mrs. Mains was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was loved by many. Mrs. Mains is preceded in death by her parents, Lee Avery and Thelma Mattie Lou Sanders Avery; three brothers; two sisters and a grandson, David Scott Howard. Mrs. Mains is survived by her husband, Jimmie D. Mains; daughters, JoAnn Moore Howard Jedele and her husband, Roger, and Darline Dominique Mains; a son, Steven Edward Mains; granddaughters, Kimberly Ann Howard Gesco and her husband, Dajuan, and Sidney Allison Stephens and her husband, Tony; grandson, Kristopher Abel Windom; great-granddaughters, Kendra Diane Gesco, Karissa Lena Hopkins and Dominique Danyale Stephens; great- grandsons, Jordan Antonio Stephens and Trevor Scott Howard; sisters, Helen Posey Blevins and her husband, Charles, and Willie Avery Whittington; a brother, Garry Dale Avery and numerous nieces and nephews.
