A celebration of life for Chayton Christian Holbert, 15, will be 2 p.m., Sunday, October 23, 2016, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Rob Turley officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 at the funeral home. Chayton went home to be with the Lord, peacefully, on October 19, 2016. Survivors include his mom, Pam Holbert; grandfathers, Odis McGinnis and Doug Holbert; uncles, Billy Chappell, Lee Holbert, Paul Hicks (Jo) and Darrell Hicks (Karen); aunts, Karey Sessions (Jason), Nancy Forsyth (Leon), Patricia Geiger, Brenda Simpson (Doug) and Sharon Currington (Sam); half-brothers, Tyler Holbert and Jalen Rhodes; numerous cousins including, Jackson, Max and Cole Sessions, Sassy and Roman Gee. Chayton was preceded in death by his father, Christian Holbert; grandfather, Terry Minish; great-grandparents, Gibson and Bessie Hicks, Victor Holbert, and Myrtle Stephens. Chayton was a well-known student at Cleburne County High School. He was a caring person who loved to dance and was full of life. Some of his favorite times were spent with his Pawpaw Odis and Uncle Billy, fishing, horseback riding and riding around in their truck. Chayton will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
