Oxford - Funeral services for Cheryl Anne Renfroe Wade, 54, were held on Monday, May 13, 2013, at 4 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Piedmont with Mr. Brandon Renfroe officiating. Burial followed at Highland Cemetery. The family received friends on Monday from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home. Ms. Wade passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013, at RMC in Anniston. She is survived by three children, Stuart Wade (Kelsey), of Weaver, Matthew Wade and Summer Wade, both of Oxford; one grandson, Jaxon Wade; her mother, Eleanor Studdard Renfroe, of Piedmont; two brothers, Steve Renfroe (Amanda), of Hoover and Brandon Renfroe (Amanda), of Ashville; four nieces and three nephews. Pallbearers will be Greg Studdard, Tony Studdard, Frank Studdard, David Studdard, Michael Young and Chris Houser. Ms. Wade was a Piedmont native and was a 1976 graduate of Piedmont High School. She received her Masters degree in education from the University of Alabama and was clear to begin her dissertation on her doctoral program in November. She was the first ARI coach in the Anniston City School System and was the first ACS teacher to earn national certification and she was a former ACS elementary teacher of the year. She was a loving Christian mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She loved gardening and working in her flowers.
