Graveside service for Mr. Cipriano "Sam" Alvarado Zamora, 90 years old, of Lenlock will be Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1-2:30 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Mr. Zamora passed away June 22 at NHC. Mr. Zamora is survived by his daughters, Eva (Dave) Campbell and Teresa (Gary) Girodo; son, David Zamora; grandchildren, Lisa Campbell, Christine (Mark) Wetzel, Joey Leverett, Jr., Melissa Campbell and Joshua (Dezerae) Leverett; great-grandchildren, Christopher W. Meadows, Joel Leverett II, Jayla Leverett, Naomi Leverett, Eva Wetzel, Zoe Wetzel and Seth Wetzel; brothers and sisters, Robert Zamora, Ramona Aparicio, Rufino Zamora and Francis Montes; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Zamora was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Zamora; and several siblings. Mr. Zamora was a resident of Calhoun County. He was retired after 25 years in the U.S. Army, where he earned the rank of Master Sargent. He served in WW II with the "BIG Red One". He also served in the Korean War. He was a Rifle man and in the military police units. Mr. Zamora was also retired from the Anniston Army Depot. Condolences may be left at www.chapelhillfh.com
