Funeral service for Clarence Davidson "Whiskey", 72, will be on Friday, October 7, 2016, at noon at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Pastor Ronnie C. Beavers officiating. Interment will follow in the Eden Hills Cemetery. Mr. Davidson passed away on October 1, 2016 at Regional Medical Center. A wake will be this evening from 6 - 8 at the Chapel. Mr. Davidson's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to his service. Mr. Davidson graduated in 1962 from Cobb Avenue High School. He was an former entertainer, he sang with Willie Hightower; opening up for the Drifters and Clarence Carter. He retired from IL Fornaio Restaurant in San Jose, Calif., and also worked at Shoney's, Cracker Barrel and NHC Healthcare. Survivors include his son, Jamar Davidson; step children, Terry, Susan and Joey Martinez; grandson, Jarret Davidson; siblings, Florence (George) Johnson, John E. Davidson and Diane (Jesse) Buchanan; step- siblings, the Rev. Jimmy (Janet) Jackson, Gertie Johnson, Jerelene Whitfield and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Zennia M. Davidson; stepmother, Mazelle Jackson Davidson; his wife, Donna M.
