Funeral service for Clarence E. Heard Sr, 66, will be held 1 P.M. Monday, November 2, 2015, at Seventeenth Street Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Randolph Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Edgemont Cemetery. Mr. Heard will lie in repose one hour prior to service at the church. Viewing will be held today from 1 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Melinda Fields Heard, of Anniston; four children, Clarence Heard Jr. (Sonja), of Moody, Wanica Gilbert (Meryles), of Montgomery, Melita Heard, of Birmingham and Brandon E. Heard, of Birmingham; one sister, Janie Seay, of Birmingham; Lewis Heard (Velesha), of Birmingham and Jimmie Heard Jr., of Birmingham; four grandchildren, Branton Heard, Meryles Gilbert II, Zyon Gilbert and Amber Heard; one great-grandchild, Branton Heard II; a mother-in-law, Bertha Milner; father-in-law, Otis Milner; a special friend and caregiver, Barbara Bradford and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
