Funeral service for Clarence Lee "Kitty" James, 71, of Anniston will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday March 18, 2015 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Minister Scottie Stamps officiating. Burial will follow in Anniston Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mr. James will lie in state one hour prior to service at the church. Public viewing will be today from 1-7 p.m. at the funeral home. The Goodson Funeral Home, Inc. directing. Survivors include wife, Yolander James, of Anniston; one daughter, Sharon Rutledge, of Lincoln; one step-daughter, Jasmine Whitson, of Anniston; four step-sons, Minister Scottie (Jackie) Stamps, of Anniston, Andra Walker, of Anniston, Bob Walker, Christopher Edmundson, both of Huntsville, Ala., and Stephen Walker, of Knoxville, Tenn; three sisters, Bertha Beatrice Hardy, Shirley Miller, and Delois Long, all of Anniston; grandchildren, Demetreus Cooley, Destiny Burgess, Demetria Rutledge, Brittney Leonard, Jarod Davis, Kadedra Stamps, Deja Young; and host of other grandchildren; great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ms. Helen Long; grandmother, Minnie James; sister, Alberta Carter; brothers, Noval "Uncle Not" James, Leon Long, and Larry Long; brother-in-law, Dempsey Miller.
