Mrs. Parker was truly a virtuous woman who helped anyone she could. She provided love and a home to many foster children in Talladega County. She was employed at Imperial Reading for many years where she worked as a seamstress and later as a house keeper at the Golden Living Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Deacon J.C. Parker; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Stephens; three brothers, Clifford, Clellon and James Stephens; two sisters, Minnie Dunn and Joyce Stephens; six brothers-in-law, James, Cooledge, Isaac Parker, Ellis Akles, Charles Dunn and George Russell; three sisters-in-law, Arzilla Russell, Ruth and Lela Parker. Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Jacqueline (John) Taylor, of Columbia, S.C.; Tonya ( Derrick) Kidd, of Suwanne, Ga., and her devoted son, Clellon (Janice) Parker, of Rainbow City; five grandsons, Jeremy and Jonathan Taylor, Cameron Parker, Jalen and Coby Kidd, and one great-granddaughter, Cadence Taylor; four sisters, Mrs. Christine Smith, Mrs. Agnes Akles, Mrs. Irene (Larry) Lindsey, and brother, Mr. Walter (Gloria) Stephens; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Pearlene Parker, Mrs. Betty, Mrs. Lola and Mrs. Belinda Stephens, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. The family would like to give special thanks to the Staff of Diversicare Healthcare Services, formally the Golden Living Center and New Beacon Hospice for their services and care given to Mrs. Parker. We are thankful to all for your prayers, visits and other acts of kindness. Ervin Funeral Chapel Where Courtesy Dwells and Service Excels
