Anniston - Funeral services for Clemmon "Sonny" Walker, 71, will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at the New Hope C.M.E. Church in Bynum with the Rev. Tommy L. Jones, pastor and the Rev. Debra Prater officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Church Cemetery. Mr. Walker passed on Monday, November 4, 2013, at Regional Medical Center. Mr. Walker graduated from Calhoun County Training School in 1961. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a Vietnam War veteran. He was employed as a civil services employee at Fort McClellan. Survivors include his daughter, Mary A. Walker of San Diego, Calif.; son, Frederick G. Walker of Atlanta, Ga.; his children's mother, Erlinda Paug Walker of Oceanside, Calif.; his mother, Henrietta B. Walker of Bynum; granddaughter, Jasmine Hann of Stone Mountain, Ga.; sisters, Bobbie J. Walker of Anniston, Gloria W. Walker of Marietta, Ga, V. Lynne (Leonard) Mason of Atlanta, and Lisa (Mitchell) Johnson of Wilmington, N.C.; aunt, Ruby Moore of Talladega; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Semus Walker.
