Mr. Clyde Winfield Ardis, 83, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Mr. Ardis was a native of Manning, S.C. He was a former resident of Anniston but had lived in Monroeville since 2008. He was a retired Chief Warrant Officer with the Alabama National Guard. Mr. Ardis was a member of Monroeville First Baptist Church and former member of Anniston First Baptist Church of Saks. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Williams Ardis and one daughter, Sarah Ardis Pair. Mr. Ardis is survived by his wife, Gerry Jackson Ardis, of Monroeville; one step-son, Scott Jackson, of Jackson; one step-daughter, Sandy (Kimble) Coker, of Pike Rd., AL; one son-in-law, Rodney (Cindy) Pair, of Anniston; one brother, Herman (Barbara) Ardis, of Manning, S.C.; three sisters, Vivian (Cutter) Epps, of Manning, S.C., Jean (John) Malone, of Florence, S.C. and MaryAnn (Mike) Horton, of West Columbia, S.C.; seven grandchildren, Kevin Pair, Alex Pair, Katie Edwards, Kathryn Coker, Caroline Coker, Mandy Warrick and Garrett Jackson and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on today from 1 until 2 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Micah Gandy and the Rev. Randall Reaves officiating. Interment will be on Friday, April 24, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Anniston Memorial Gardens in Anniston with the Rev. Randall Reaves officiating.
