Visitation for Connie Maria Brock, 70, of Oxford, Ala., will be this evening from 6 - 8 at Miller Funeral Home in Oxford, followed by a Celebration of Life at First United Methodist Church of Saks at 2 p.m. on Saturday July 20, 2013, with the Rev. Jim Wilson officiating. Mrs. Brock passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at her home following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her sons, David Kelley, Johnny Kelley (Julianne), Kevin (Miranda) Kelley; grandchildren, Preslee Kelley, Destinie Kelley, Brooklyn Kelley, and Courtney Churchill and a great-grandchild, Thatcher Lovejoy. Survivors also include three brothers and two sisters. She is also survived by ten step-children and several grandchildren from her late husband and best friend of 23 years, Paul Brock, whom she was preceded in death by, along with her parents Ildefonso and Maria Guerra. She has been a resident of Oxford most of her life. She was a member of FUMC of Saks. She was formerly employed by Magic Chef and Alabama Specialty Products, along with owning Grams Bakery. She also attended college where she studied medicine for several years. She enjoyed knitting, oil painting, music, taking walks, dancing, spending time with grandchildren, but foremost she enjoyed life, family and friends.
