Funeral service for Coquesa Lynette Minniefield "Ko-Ko", 28, will be on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at 1 p.m. at the Greater Thankful Baptist Church with the Rev. Byron Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Eden Hills Cemetery. Ms. Minniefield will arrive at the church one hour prior to her service. Ms. Minniefield passed away on September 30, 2014 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Ms. Minniefield graduated 2005 from Walter Welborn High School and attended Word Alive International Outreach. Survivors include her daughter, Skyler N. Minniefield Stoves; grandmothers, Johnnie (Lloyd) Sanders and Rachel Bowens; stepfather, Chet Cato; siblings, Jarvis (Elienna) Minniefield, Randel Bowens, Randy E. Bowens and Randy N. (Tiffany) Bowens; special aunt, Michell R. Minniefield; uncles, Carlos (Pam) Minniefield and Jerrell (Jessie) Gladden; special friend, Sgt. Melvin Oliver Stoves; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Minniefield; grandmother, Lilar Jordan; great-aunts and uncles, Jerrell K. Godwin, Wilfort Hall, Willie Morris, Willie Gladden and Earl Gladden.
