Funeral service for Curtis Furnice Ray 68, will be Friday, September 8, 2017 at 3pm at the Refuge Full Gospel Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Melvin Rogers, officiating. Interment will follow in Eden Hills Cemetery. Mr. Ray passed away on September 2, 2017 at Regional Medical Center. Mr. Ray's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to his service. He graduated in 1968 from Calhoun County Training School, retired from US Water Pipe. Survivors include his wife: Sadie Ray; children: Reynaldo Battle, Terry Twymon, Melinda (Miles,Sr.) Wilson, Carol Thomas; his mother: Ollie M. Ray; brothers: Harold Ray, Glen Ray,Sr., Dennis (Alice) Ray; 5 grandchildren, 12 great grands, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Benny Frank Ray, Sr., son, Demetrius Ray; siblings, Mary Bernice Kirby, Bennie Frank Ray, Sr. Winnie Jean Bell, son in-law, Willie Thomas.
