Curtis Lamar Haynes, 77, died Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday June 6, 2015, at the Anniston Moose Lodge with the Rev. Gene Smith officiating. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include wife, Patsy Patterson Haynes, of Jacksonville; daughters, Kim (Jack) Stephens, of Munford, Karen (John) Royal, of Birmingham and Tammy (Dave) LaBerge, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; son, Steven (Crystal) Harris, of Heflin; grandchildren, Brianna Stephens, John David Royal, Daniel Taylor, Ethan LaBerge, Samantha LaBerge and Rickey Taylor, Taylor Ball, Ryan Harris and Jacob Harris; great-grandson, Jesse Taylor; sisters, Gray Wingard, of Weaver, Margaret Whitman, of Anniston. Mr. Haynes was a member of the Anniston Moose Lodge and Family Center 1669 and the American Legion Post 1983. He retired from the Anniston Fire Department and Saks High School. Curtis was an avid golfer. Mr. Haynes was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Ethel Haynes; brothers, Cliff and Bill Haynes; sisters, Audrey Rodgers, Mattie Stephens and Mary Ethel Piirsalu; daughter, Kathy Taylor and a great- grandson, Jaysin Taylor. In lieu of flowers donations shall be made in memory of Curtis to UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center WTI 210 1720 2nd Ave. S Birmingham, AL. 35294.
