Memorial services for Curtis Oland Hammett, 65, of White Plains, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home and Crematory with John Cole officiating. Mr. Hammett died Sunday at his residence. He is survived by two sons, Chris Hammett and Jason Hammett; by his brother, Bill Hammett; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Hammett was a life-long resident of Calhoun County and he retired from Anniston Army Depot. He was a Marine Corp veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of Nances Creek Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Euel Hammett; mother, Flonnie Hammett; sisters, Shirley Heron, Earlene Mayfield and by his brothers, Wayne Hammett and Mark Hammett.
