Graveside service for SPC Da'Jzon Terrell "D.J." Parchman, 24, U.S. Army (Ret.) will be Saturday at 4:30 p.m. from the Jacksonville City Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 3 p.m. - 4 p.m. He is survived by his wife, Briana Parchman, of Saks; his daughter, Desire Faith Parchman, of Saks; his father, Donovan Parchman Sr., of Danville, Ill.; his mother and step-father, Angie Washington and Stanley Ross, both of Jacksonville; three sisters, Destiny "Snickers" Parchman, of Jacksonville, Alliyah Parchman and Ta'Brea Parchman, both of Danville, Ill.; six brothers, Donovan Parchman Jr., of Jacksonville, Diamond Parchman, of Saginaw, Mich., Tay Parchman, of Texas, Darius Parchman of Danville, Ill., Cullin Miller, of Camp Lejeune, N.C. and Mark Vine, of Oxford; several nieces and nephews; his grandparents, Allen and Betty Haskins, of Danville, Ill., Eddie Thomas, of Uniontown, Madell Scott, of Danville, Ill. and Brenda Thomas, of Fort Wayne, Ind. and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Carla Gann of Saks. SPC Parchman was medically retired from the US Army, serving for four years during the War on Terrorism. He was a loving father, son and brother, who had the sweetest heart. SPC Parchman enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and playing games of all kinds. He was very intelligent and he was a wonderful artist.
