The funeral service for Mr. David Keith Lewis, 44, of White Plains will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Golden Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Roland Brown and the Reverend Stanley Owen officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday evening at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs. Keith passed away on January 4, 2016 at home surrounded by his family following a 3 1/2 year battle with brain cancer. Keith was a 1989 graduate of Anniston High School and went on to earn two degrees from Ayers State Technical College in Drafting and Pattern Making. He worked at Holladay Pattern & Mold in Trussville for 20 years and had worked at Lee Brass since 2011. He was a member of the Quad Cities Volunteer Fire Department for over 17 years and had served as chaplain for several years. In 1999, Keith was ordained as a deacon at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and was currently a member of Golden Springs Baptist Church. He loved and served our Lord and loved to tell others about Him. He was an incredible husband, daddy, brother and son-in-law. Keith always loved going to Gatlinburg with his wife and daughters. He never met a stranger and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Keith is preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Dorothy Lewis, of Anniston; grandparents, Tom and Geneva Lewis, of Anniston and C.J. and Louise Hamilton, of Ohatchee. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Erica Cobb Lewis, of White Plains; his daughters, Ashleigh and Abbie Lewis, both of White Plains; a brother, Scott Lewis and his wife, Janice, of Choccolocco; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stanley and Betty Cobb, of White Plains; a brother-in-law, Roger Cobb and his wife, Kim, of White Plains; and nieces, Brittany and Morgan Cobb, of White Plains and Mickala and Caitlin Lewis, of Choccolocco. Pallbearers will be Andrew Huie, Jason Alexander, Eddie Rhodes, Van Roberts Sr., Charlie Jobson and Greg Ashley. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Quad Cities Volunteer Fire Department. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Quad Cities Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 80, Choccolocco, AL 36254. The family would like to give special thanks to the UAB Neurosurgery & Neurology Department, Amedysis Home Health Care, New Beacon Hospice, Anniston Oncology and the Golden Springs Winn Dixie Pharmacy.
