Funeral service for Deacon George Noye Jr., 103, will be today at 11 a.m. at the Greater Thankful Baptist Church with interment following in the Eden Hills Cemetery. Deacon Noye was born December 15, 1910, in Autaugaville, Ala. After moving to Anniston he united with the Greater Thankful Baptist Church,where he was a faithful member. He worked at Anniston Foundry, Monsanto Chemical Company and retired from Union Foundry. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife, Eddie Noye; daughter Corene English; son, William Elston Sr.; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
