On October 31, 2014 Debora "Debbie" Ward McCurdy went to be with her heavenly father. She was 56. A memorial service will be held at Chosea Springs Baptist Church on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Boles officiating. Debbie leaves behind a daughter, Lindsey J. Maydole; a future son-in-law, Kristopher L. Strader; her loving parents, Bobby and Beverly Ward; one sister, Teresa G. Ward; one brother, Wendell (Donna) Ward; one nephew, Brian Ward; one niece, Amanda (Matt) Beason; two grand nieces, Kaley and Emma Beason. Debbie was preceded in death by her husband, George "Mac" McCurdy III; her grandparents, Bennice and Cora Ward and John and Audrey Jordan. Debbie loved working outside in her garden, planting flowers, cutting grass and fishing. She was a bicentennial (1976) graduate of White Plains High School and was a member of Chosea Springs Baptist Church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dana, Jennifer, Lori, Penny and Chaplain Jon Guthrey of Southern Care Hospice.
