Funeral service for Mr. Dennis Carter Sr., 79, will be Saturday, May 14, 2016, at noon at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Ross Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Eden Hills Cemetery. Ervin Funeral Chapel directing. Survivors include his children, Dennis Patrick (Tracy) Carter, Cedric Finley, Clifton (Cherita) Finley Sr., all of Anniston, and Brena (John) Tyner, of Alexandria; two brothers, Roy Carter Sr., of Phoenix, Ariz. and William "Frankie" (Everetta) Carter, of Chicago, Ill.; seven sisters, Sylvia Lee (Rev. Frank) Thomas, of Oxford, Norma Jean (Rev. Earl) Montgomery, of Saks, Macy Carter, Barbara Carter, Debra Ann Harvey, Rossana (Charlie) Carter and Yvonne Ann Armstrong, all of Anniston; 10 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Cora Carter; one son, Antonia "Jabbar" Chandler; one sister, Emma Catherine Armstrong; five brothers, Willie Carter Jr., Thomas "Bird" Carter Sr., Charles Carter, Sr., Eugene "Pimp" Carter and Harry Glenn Carter Sr. Ervin Funeral Chapel Where Courtesy Dwells and Service Excels
