A funeral service for Dennis Russell Morgan, 69, will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center with the Revs. John Simmons and Ted Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Mr. Morgan died Friday, November 28, 2014 at his residence. He is survived by his daughter, Emily Morgan Moses and her husband, Justin, of Brentwood, Tenn.; grandson, Asher Dennis Moses, of Brentwood, Tenn.; his mother, Foy Bell Morgan, of Jacksonville; an aunt; a niece; several cousins. Pallbearers will be Justin Moses, David Bunn, Don Berry, Charles Morgan, Jeff Ray and Wayne Ledbetter. Honorary pallbearer will be Lee Barber and Shawn Garrett. Mr. Morgan was a native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville. He received his B.S. and Master's degree from Jacksonville State University and was formerly employed at Commercial National Bank in Anniston and Federal Mogul in Jacksonville. He managed many rental properties in Jacksonville and Anniston and enjoyed remodeling old homes and restoring old automobiles. He was preceded in death by his father, Hoyt Thompson Morgan; brother, Jerry Morgan. The family ask in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the First United Methodist Church, P. O.
