A memorial service will be held for Mr. Dennis W. Gaddy Sr., 64, Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center at 3 p.m. A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the chapel. Mr. Gaddy passed away on December 24, 2016 at Riverview Regional in Gadsden. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sarah Frances Gaddy, of Ohatchee; his sons, Dennis W. "Dino" Gaddy Jr., of Ohatchee and Joey Wayne Gaddy (Jeana), of Ohatchee; his grandchildren, Ashleigh Gaddy Smith (Michael), from Leesburg, Treaver Gaddy and Dalton "Bubba" Gaddy (Kelsey Parris), Courtney Moore, all of Ohatchee, and Hannah Leigh Gaddy; one great-grandchild, Kinsleigh Smith, of Leesburg, and baby Smith on the way; his sisters, Lois Gaddy, of Jamesport, Mo., Sharon Gaddy, of Jacksonville and Sandra Gaddy Murphy, of Glencoe; one brother, Larry Gaddy, of Orlando, Fla.; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Gaddy served as a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a sharp shooter at the rifle range. He married his wife, and best friend, Sarah, on October 23, 1973. Together they had two sons. Mr. Gaddy worked at the Anniston Army Depot for 36 years, where he drove a petroleum truck and was stationed at building 6. He loved working on cars and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Gaddy Sr.; his mother, Marion Rose Gaddy; his sister, Shirley Heath; his brothers, Randall James Gaddy and Alvin "Sonny" Gaddy Jr. Online condolences to the family at K.L.
