A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Devery Crow Jenkins, of Anniston,will be at 3 pm on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with Dr. Roy Cordle and Rev. Eddie Beard officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1-3 pm at the funeral home. A private graveside will be held on Monday at Forestlawn Gardens. Mrs. Jenkins passed away on September 6, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Jenkins was a graduate of Walter Wellborn High School. She worked for the Calhoun County Tax Appraiser's office for many years before retiring in 2015. She loved being on Logan Martin Lake with her River Rats Friends in her pontoon boat and going to the beach. She was also an outstanding cook. Mrs. Jenkins was an avid University of Alabama fan and just loved people. Mrs. Jenkins is preceded in death by her father, Bobby Crow; and her grandparents, Amanda and S.T. Hale, and Nola and Mutt Crow. She is survived by her husband 8 years, Dennis Jenkins; her mother and step father, Peggy Crow Young and Harold Young; a brother, Jeff Crow and his wife, Renetta; a step son, Dennis Jenkins Jr. and his wife, Brandi; step grandchildren, Austin, Andrew, and Ashley Jenkins; a niece, Amanda Crow; a nephew, Matthew Crow; a chosen sister, Pat Turner and her husband, Frank; chosen niece and nephew, Stephanie Turner Garner, Richard Turner and his wife, Abby; and numerous cousins. Honorary pallbearers will be The River Rats. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the , 1100 Ireland Way, Suite 101, Birmingham, AL 35205 (www.cancer.org).
