A funeral service for Mr. Don Gaugler, 81, will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Jacksonville. The Rev. Lyle Holland and the Rev. Ted Anderson will officiate with burial to follow in Jacksonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday at the church from 11-1 p.m. K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center directing. Mr. Gaugler passed away April 8, 2017 at Jacksonville Medical Center. A native of Bethlehem, Pa., he was a long time resident Jacksonville. He was a member of The First United Methodist Church and was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a retired engineer at Federal Mogul after 26 years of service. Mr. Gaugler was a member of Sigma Phi Delta, and V.P. of the Gamecock Club. He enjoyed watching all sports and loved fishing and working in the yard where he grew his garden. Mr. Gaugler is preceded in death by his parents, Don and Tesa Gaugler and an infant son, Jeff. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy Gaugler; sons, Greg Gaugler (Annette), of Atlanta, Ga., Dr. Michael Gaugler (Misty), of Leola, Pa.; grandchildren, Caitlyn Gaugler and Colin Gaugler, both of Lilburn, Ga., Madison, Grayson, Brayden and James Gaugler, of Leola, Pa.; sister, Barbara Gaugler, of Nazareth, Pa.; brother, Robert Gaugler, of Williamsburg, Va., along with several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Dr. Bruce Cunningham, Jim Lloyd, Mike Limerick, David Hammett, Boyd Scoggins, Jim Skidmore, Mike Parris and Bob Bishop. Honorary pallbearers will be the Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class, Warm Hearts and Gamecock Club Board of Directors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jax Snackpacks or The Serving Table, c/o First United Methodist Church of Jacksonville P.O Box 1025, Jacksonville, Al 36265.
