Graveside service for Don Michael Viers, 73, was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Boston Cemetery. The Rev. Tim Phillips officiated. Mr. Viers passed away May 13, 2017, at his residence. Born November 9, 1943 in Pulaski, Ill., he was the son of the late Don E. Viers and Rose Mary Wallace Viers. He was married to Cheryl Miller Viers who preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served in the Vietnam War and a member of Boston Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. He spent most of his life in the military and civil service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and is now with the love of his life, Cheryl. He is survived by his children, Don Michael "Mike" Viers II and wife, Shannon, of O-Fallon, Mo., Robert "Bobby" Viers and wife, Lyvonne, of Summerville, Ga. and Kim V. Baldwin and husband, Walt, of Woodbridge, Va.; grandchildren, Jordan, Caitlin, Lauren, Jackson, Austin, Courtney, Reed, Bryce and Brooke; brother, Steve Viers and wife, Wil, of Lakeland, Fla.; sister, Nancy Kuhlman and husband, Dennis, of Austin, Texas and friends and family in Boston.
