Funeral service for Donald Aderholdt, 80, will be Monday, June 26, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. James Cohorn officiating. The family suggests that you wear casual attire for the service. Burial will follow in Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from noon until service time. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Lee Aderholdt; two children, Tina (Layton) McGrady, of Anniston and Stacy (Pamela Carroll) Aderholdt, of Oxford; two grandchildren, Jacob Aderholdt and Dylan Aderholdt, of Oxford; his sister, Betty Burell, of Hoover; his aunt, Dot Minshew, of Birmingham, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd C. and Louise G. Aderholdt. Pallbearers will be Stacy Aderholdt, Layton McGrady, Jacob Aderholdt, Dylan Aderholdt, David Stubbs, and Dennis Burell. Mr. Aderholdt was of the Baptist faith. He loved his family and was passionate about spending time with them. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, watching Auburn football, gardening, and traveling. Mr. Aderholdt retired from Lee Brass, after 49 years, as a Maintenance Supervisor. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the nurses, doctors, and staff for the excellent care he received during his brief stay at RMC of Anniston.
