Funeral service for Doris J. Whack, 63, will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2015, at The Goodson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in Eden Hills Cemetery. Public viewing will be today from 1 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Survivors include one daughter, Towandaleur (James) Akles, of Anniston; siblings, Mary McBride, of Atlanta, Ga., David (Paige) Burnett, Franklin Earl Lloyd, Regina (Wayne) Spikes, Gloria Wright Best, Patricia Tharpe, Delores Heath and Jeff (Tabatha) Best, all of Anniston, Saundra (Raymond) Best Smith, of Virginia; grandchildren, LaToya Burnette, Terryod Burnett and DeMario Burnett; special friends, Mary Oden, Patricia Carr, James Davis and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Sinautry Whack; mother, Fannie M. Burnett; father, Elbert Junior Best; stepmother, Barbara Best; grandmother, Lilly M. Burnett and brother, Homer Best.
