Dorothy Ann Gannon, 79 of Calhoun County passed away February 3, 2018 at Regional Medical Center with family and friends by her side. Survivors include two loving daughters; Theresa Jones, Cheryl Shaw (Greg), grandchildren; Joshua Daniel, Hannah Shaw, Haley Shaw, and Emily Hope Shaw, a sister; Barbara Poore, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gannon was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Ret. USAF TSGT Charles O'Neal Gannon, her son, Mark O'Neal Gannon, her parents, Daniel and Oma Lee Moncrief, and seven siblings, Acie Moncrief, Lonie Couch, Ruth Scoggins, Junior Moncrief, Carl Moncrief, Audrey Stewart and Roland Moncrief. Dorothy Gannon was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a loving woman who was devoted to her family and she will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Ben Carson officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Gannon will be laid to rest alongside her husband following funeral services on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at McCauley's Chapel in Gadsden, AL. Pallbearers will be Jeromy Hill, Greg Shaw, Nathan Waddell, Quandarious Moore, Drake Cebrian, and Race Roszell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ken Daniel and Mike Stewart.
