Funeral service for Dorothy "Dot" McKinney, 86,will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Anthony C. Chatmon, officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Mrs. McKinney will lie in state one hour prior to service at the church. Public viewing will be today from 1-7 p.m. at the funeral home. The Goodson Funeral Home, Inc. directing. Survivors include daughters, MSG Lori Anne McKinney (Retired), of Oxford, Ala., and Jennifer Paige (Charles L.) Staples, of Anniston, Ala.; her sons, Roderick"Charlie" Boyd and William "Daryl" Boyd, both of Hobson City, Ala.; her sister, Betty Singleton, of Hampton, Virginia; her sister-in-law, Claudia Smith, of Anniston, Ala.; her grandchildren, Illya (Terry) Boyd, of Merced, California, Yolanda Peters, LaDonna Boyd, and Adrian (Shameeka) Boyd, all of Anniston, Ala., Vanessa (Todd) Henderson, of Austell, Ga., Charles (Pam Granger) Staples II, of Adamsville, Ala., Tamika Boyd, Anthony McKinney and Jared McKinney, all of Oxford, Ala.; 18 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
