Anniston - Memorial services for Dorothy S. Hamil, of Anniston, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Parker Memorial Baptist Church with Dr. Mac Amis and Dr. Billy Harris officiating. Mrs. Hamil passed away Tuesday in Anniston. Survivors include her husband, J. Floyd Hamil, of Anniston; sons, Jason Keith Hamil (Lori), of Dyersburg, Tenn., Anthony Kelvin Hamil (Natalie Brittain Hamil), of Spanish Fort; grandchildren, Weston Hamil, Ashton Hamil; sisters Betty Jean Hollingsworth, of Anniston, Iva Russell, of Oxford; brothers, Harold Smith, of Heflin, Harris Smith,, of Ohatchee and Richard Smith, of Ohatchee; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hamil is preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt and Eva Smith and J.D. and Ressie M. Hamil. Mrs. Hamil was a native and resident of Calhoun County. She was born in Ohatchee where she became Miss Ohatchee, then moved to Anniston and joined Parker Memorial Baptist Church. She was runner up to Miss Anniston winning Miss Congeniality.
