The funeral service for Mr. Douglas Beal, 47, will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Father Basil Henry officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Beal passed away on February 1, 2017 at UAB. Mr. Beal was born in Piedmont and graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1990. He enjoyed coaching his daughters softball team and many any other sports. He also loved going to football games at Auburn University. He was employed with Unipres in Steele. Mr. Beal is preceded in death by his father, Willie Beal. He is survived by his wife, Sophia Beal; his mother, Catherine Beal; a son, Nicholas Beal; a daughter, Makahla Beal; a sister, Jennifer Johnson and her husband, Jeff; his brothers, Joey Beal and Charles Ray Beal and his wife, Alicia Ann; a mother and father-in-law, Vickie and Don Lynn; brother and sister-in-law, Nick and Heather Lynn; nieces and nephew, Christa and Alexis Lynn and Nicholas Lynn. Pallbearers will be Nick Lynn, Brian Clay, Blake Hanie, Clay Belyeu, Curtis Clay and Jeff Johnson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Luke Orthodox Church, 1415 Woodstock Ave, Anniston, AL 36207 ( Online condolences may be made to the family at K.L.
