Funeral service for Doyle Vernon Miller, 81, will be today at 1 p.m. at Wellington First Baptist Church with Dr. Tommy G. Miller, the Rev. Tommy Reaves and the Rev. Larry Bollinger officiating and Anniston Memorial Funeral Home directing. Private burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Mr. Miller died Saturday at his home with his family by his side. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Lynn Curvin Miller; his sons, Dr. Tommy Miller (Frankie) and Dennis Miller (Dana); grandchildren, Cindy Fair (Brent), Brooke Lee (Steven), Emily Williams (Nick), Katy Bryant (Koty), Matt Miller (Emily), Morgan Guthrie, Mandi Austin (Leroy) and Mary Katherine Miller; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Shelby Miller and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gaston and Lillian Miller and sister, Regina Perry. Pallbearers will be Jeff Miller, John Perry, Jimmy Stone, Ervin Love, Adam Morales, Eric Patterson, Blake Curvin and Lacy Curvin. Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior III Adult Sunday School Class of Wellington First Baptist Church. Mr. Miller was a deacon at Wellington First Baptist Church and retired from Alexandria High School.
