Funeral services for Mr. Drew Pettus, age 56, of Oxford, were held on Friday, December 1, 2017, 2:00 PM at Oxford Church of Christ. Brad McNutt and Bob Prichard officiated. Burial followed in the Munford Cemetery. Mr. Pettus passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Brookwood Medical Center. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Pettus; daughter, Amber Elswick (Billy); mother, Eva Pettus; grandmother, Gracie Gunter; brother, Paul Pettus; sisters, Kim Fulmer (Glenn), Teresa Lackey (Anthony), Tawana Lackey, Tammy Nordan (Ronnie) and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Eason Lackey, Zack Lackey, Reese Nordan, Reid Nordan, Preston Adams and Zayne Lackey. Honorary pallbearers were Louis Higgins, Tommy McKleroy, Dr. Vance Moore, Buster Hughes and Buddy Crammer. Mr. Pettus was a resident of Oxford and was member of the Oxford Church of Christ and severed as a Deacon. He was a member of the Red Elephant Club and was a die hard Alabama Fan.
