Graveside service with full military honors for Dwight Douglas Dronen, 67, will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Anniston Memorial Gardens. A celebration of life will follow the service at the home of a family friend. Friends are invited to tell stories and have a final toast to a man who will be greatly missed. Mr. Dronen died May 20, 2014 at Coosa Valley Health Care. Survivors include his wife, Elaine; David; one brother; two sisters; eight nieces and nephews along with other loving family and many friends. Dwight was born on April 28, 1947 in Sharon N.D. and graduated from Detroit Lakes, Minn. in 1965. He began a 20 year career in the Army just after high school, serving two terms in Viet Nam. Following retirement he made his home in Ohatchee where he found great happiness with his land, horses, good friends and especially his wife, Elaine. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America or National Parkinson Foundation.
