The funeral service for Mrs. Earline Laney Thompson, 84, of Anniston, will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with Reverend Scotty Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Eulaton First Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until the service hour on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Thompson passed away on May 3, 2015 at NE Alabama Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Thompson was a native of Horton, Ky. but had lived in Anniston since 1946. Mrs. Thompson is preceded in death by her husbands, Wilmer L. Laney and A.W. Thompson; a granddaughter, Kristy Leigh Laney; her parents, Byron Cecil and Delana Florine Ensor; a son-in-law, Terry Kilgore; a sister, Vereda "Doll" Lloyd; and two brothers, Buddy Ensor and Jerry Ensor. She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Kilgore, of Anniston and Linda Jenkins and her husband, Ray, of Anniston; a son, David Byron Laney and his wife, Deb, of Anniston; a sister, Mickey Wheeler, of Roanoke, Va.; a brother, James L. Ensor and his wife, Barbara, of Vinton, Va.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Sandra Ensor, of Boones Mill, Va. and Eileen Ensor of Goodview, Va. Pallbearers will be Dusty Kilgore, Zach Kilgore, Tyler Siskey, Brett Jenkins, Ray Jenkins, Jerry Harris. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.klbrownmemorychapel.com. K.L.
