The funeral service for Mrs. Eddie Mae Shears-Edwards, 100, of Anniston, will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2015 at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with the Reverend Ron C. Hardy officiating. Interment will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Shears-Edwards passed away on April 28, 2015 at NE Alabama Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the Anniston First Wesleyan Church. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Troy L. Shears and H.E. Edwards; six sisters; five brothers; and three grandchildren. Mrs. Shears-Edwards is survived by one sister, Margaret Barnhill (James); two brothers, Willard Dulaney (Joyce) and Howell Dulaney; three sons, Leroy Shears (Delois), William G. Shears, and Jimmy W. Shears (Sharon); one daughter, Brenda Holmes; grandchildren, Cindy Hodges (Rich), Misty Stamper (Dr. James Stamper), Teresa Glass (Judson), Donna Croley, Gary Shears (Rhonda), and Chris Angles; 10 great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Gary Shears, Jacob Shears, Chris Angles, William Dulaney, Ronald Dulaney, and Sammy Dulaney. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Anniston First Wesleyan Church, 2501 W. Jefferson Street, Anniston, AL 36201.
