A Memorial service for Mr. Edison Winston Carmack, 59, will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Cressie's Banquet Hall, 284 Volunteer Drive, Ripley, TN 38063. Mr. Carmack passed away on December 13, 2014 in Anniston. Mr. Carmack was an avid environmentalist. He enjoyed cycling, hiking with his son and spending time outdoors. Mr. Carmack will be remembered as a loving father and an animal lover. Mr. Carmack is preceded in death by a son, Van Winston Carmack; his parents, Edwin William Carmack and Ruby Zell West Carmack and a brother, Sam Riley Carmack. Mr. Carmack is survived by his daughters, Audrie Caroline Carmack, of Sylacauga and Anna Leigh Carmack and her wife, Ensign Charity Whitfield, USN, of Port Hueneme, Calif.; a son, Amos Zachary Carmack, of Anniston; the mother of his children, Margie Carroll Carmack, of Columbiana; sisters, Dorothy Bridges, of Halls, Tenn., Penelope Gaines, of Halls, Tenn. and Jennifer Scutari, of Stuart, Fla.; brothers, Joe Carmack, of Spokane, Wash., Brett Carmack, of Halls, Tenn., Frank Carmack, of Halls, Tenn., Steve Carmack, of Ripley, Tenn. and Johnny Carmack, of Ripley, Tenn.
