Funeral service for Mr. Edward C. Hubbard Jr., 84, will be on Wednesday July 28, 2015, 1 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Alan Jinks officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on the same day from 11-1:00 p.m. Mr. Hubbard went home to be with his Lord on July 26, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen Hubbard; son, Randy Hubbard and his wife, Denisa; a grandson, Adam Hubbard and his wife, Savanna; a great grandson, McKennon Hubbard; a sister, Gaynell Wigley and her husband, Charles. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Flora Hubbard; four sisters and one brother. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Hubbard was a member of Cheaha Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. He served his country in the Navy. After leaving the Navy, he served proudly as a State Trooper for 23 years, where he was a member of many groups with the troopers. Mr. Hubbard was a very devoted family man and enjoyed spending all the time he could with them. The family would like to give a special "Thank You" to Amedysis Hospice, Shirley with New Beacon Hospice, Janet Pinson with Comfort Keepers and the Veterans Health Administration. Mr. Hubbard will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Thank you for your support.
