The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Brown passed away June 19, 2016 at his residence. He is survived by his daughters, Donna (Cecil) Hydrick, Cathy (Tommy) Luke, Paula (Lynne) Brown and Ginger (Billy) Brown; grandchildren, Stacy (Patrick) Maxwell, Tim (Diane) Hydrick, Angela Hydrick, Brittney Sumner, Alanah (Brandon) Lane, Reina Sycamore, Jenny Sycamore and Ansley Brown; great-grandchildren, Matthew Hydrick, Katilyn Maxwell and Hayden Sumner; his twin brother, Ray and brother, Carl Brown. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Norma Jean Brown; parents, Allen and Myrtle Brown; brothers, Lanier, Bill, John and Cecil Brown; sisters, Sis Brown and Edna Waddell. Mr. Brown was a member of the Wellborn Community where he raised his family. He was a member of West Park Heights Baptist Church. He had strong family values and was an inspiration to all. He loved his family dearly and was their biggest supporter and cheerleader; teaching them to never give up on their dreams and to focus on building bridges instead of burning them. He will be greatly missed but we know he is now celebrating his new life with his Lord and is reunited with his beloved wife, Norma Jean. "Dad/Paw-Paw, go rest high on that mountain. You are our hero." Many thanks to Amedisys Hospice and the doctors and nurses of RMC 4th Floor. Condolences may be left at www.chapelhillfh.com
