Jonesboro, GA - Funeral services for Mrs. Eldora Magby will be Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Haven United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Peace and Goodwill Baptist Church Cemetery in Roanoke. Mrs. Magby passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2013, at Jonesboro Nursing Center in Jonesboro, Georgia. Survivors include a daughter, Augustine (Harry) Rowlett, Texas; sons, Otis (Cleo), Fayetteville, Ga., Fred (Doris), Loganville, Ga., Keith (Lazetta) Grier, Stone Mountain, Ga., Moncrief (Pam) Shaw, Anniston; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Magby lived at 1314 Brown Ave. for 63 years and was a faithful and devoted member of Haven United Methodist Church. She was a diligent worker on the usher board, Communion Council, Fellowship Committee, Christian Interest Group and Sunday School. She was also an active member of the Slaughter Delight Chapter 782 Order of Eastern Star. She moved to Atlanta, Ga. in 2007 and lived with family members until moving into hospice care in 2011. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clinton, Sr. and William Anthony.
