Funeral service for Ellis Gray Magouirk, 76, of Anniston will be 2 p.m., Friday, June 23, 2017 at Gray Brown-Service with Pastor Jimmy Smith officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Ellis was born July 3, 1940, and passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, with his family at his side in Anniston. Ellis is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia "Pat" Magouirk; a daughter, Samantha M. Magouirk (William J. Johnson Jr., "Billy"); sons, Richard "Rick" Abramski (Jammie), Ronald "Ronnie" Abramski (Michelle), and Randall "Randy" Abramski; grandchildren, Daniel Ellis Magouirk (Carlie Magouirk), Mackenzie Elizabeth Magouirk, Robert Abramski, Amy Abramski, Justin Abramski Lindsay, Michael Abramski, Jamie Abramski, Kelly Abramski, Arinia Murphy and Matthew Lipham; numerous great-grandchildren including special great-grandson, Hunter Ellis Magouirk; brothers Raymond Magouirk, Mack Magouirk; sisters Elizabeth Finch and Gloria Thomas; daughter-in-law, Linda Lemons, and many friends. Ellis was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Medders Magouirk; parents, Grady Ellis Magouirk and Mildred Magouirk; a son, Robin "Pete" Abramski, and sister, Johnnie Mae Magouirk Hawthorne. Pallbearers will be family and friends first come first serve. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas "T.C." Coleman, Brett Coleman, Shannon Robertson, Randy Ricketts, Wittichen Supply, Southern Pipe, and Anniston Windustrial Supply. Ellis retired from Ft. McClellan Club systems (NAF) after 40 years (1958-1998) and continued his career with T.C. Enterprises for many years, and was the owner and operator of Contract Service, LLC. Ellis was born and raised in Ohatchee and lived in Anniston for the past 42 years. Ellis was a graduate of Ohatchee High School and Harry M. Ayers Technical College. He enjoyed working on the farm, tractors, bulldozers, woodworking, and spending time with his family. Ellis was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
