Funeral service for Emmett "Chuck" Carroll, 84, will be Sunday, March 6, 2016, 2 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home. Senior Pastor Jerry Irwin and Pastor Don Maddox will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Oxford Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5 till 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Carroll passed away peacefully on Wednesday at his residence. Survivors include his daughter, Tamela Carroll Dover; daughter, Sandy Truitt; brother, Louis Carroll; sister-in-law, LaKon Barker (Robert) Nicholson; brother-in-law, Billy Kilgore; niece and nephews, Sherae (Keith) Luker, Phillip (Stacy) Watson, Billy Carroll, Grant Carroll, Wally Carroll, David Carroll, Wesley Green, Roger Green, Marlene Kilgore, Michael Kilgore, Sherry Green, Belinda Kilgore, Janice Kilgore, Lorie Carroll, Lisa Carroll, Jeff Carroll and Chris Carroll; special family, Terry Kiner, Jon and Kathy O'Neal. Mr. Carroll was a former Police Officer for the Oxford Police Department. He also served in the US Army and was retired from National Gipsum. Mr. Carroll was a member of Harvest Church of God. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmy Barker Carroll; daughter, YuLonda Carroll; parents, Burt and Bertha Stokes Carroll; sisters, Ann Green and Delpia Kilgore; brother, William Carroll and a son-in-law, Travis Dover. The family would like to say a special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, therapist and Dr. David Bennett at the VA Clinic in Oxford.
