Ernest J. Charles, 75, died Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at his Residence. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 03, 2015, at Heflin Baptist Church with the Rev. Philip Morris, the Rev. Ray Doss, the Rev. Trull Hill officiating. Visitation will be Friday, April 03, 2015 from 10-11 a.m. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include wife, Linda M Charles, Heflin; daughter, Nicole (Ray) Doss, of Anniston; sons, Mark E. Charles, of Anniston and Steven M. Charles, of Heflin; sisters, Shirley Charles, of Heflin and Betty Holmes, of Anniston, Carol (Carlos) Gregg, of Auburn; brother, Billy Joe Charles, of Heflin; grandchildren, Jordon K. and Molly M. Charles, Murphy and Harrison Doss; step-grandchildren, Randall, Michael Doss. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary White, Phil Webb, Jackie Bragg, David Charles and Jerry Charles, Gary Jones, Paul Holmes, Daniel Holmes and Brandon Crosson. Mr. Charles was a native and life long resident of Cleburne County. He was a former co owner of Charles Sons Lumber Co. and an employee for Webb Concrete. He was an avid fan of vintage automobiles and belonged to the Antique Car Club. Mr. Charles was a member of the Heflin Baptist Church.
