Funeral service for Eulys Coxwell Jr, 91, will be Friday, March 11, 2016, 2 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home. Jason Campbell will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Oxford Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1 p.m. until service times at the funeral home. Mr. Coxwell passed away on Tuesday at his residence. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Rebecca Coxwell; daughters, Rebecca Ann Coxwell Coody, Nancy Louise Coxwell Kopriva (Paul), Susan Renee Coxwell Smith (Barry); son-in-law, Terry Browning; grandchildren, Rebecca Bouffard, Elizabeth Pickard (Rick), Daniel Coody and Sean Kopriva (Maria); great-grandchildren, Lauren Bouffard, Andrew Pickard and Sullivan Kopriva. Mr. Coxwell joined the U.S. Army in 1943, just after graduating from Oxford High School, during his service he served during WWII, Afica and the European War. During his time serving he received 5 Bronze Service Stars, 1 Bronze Arrowhead and a Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Coxwell was a member of the Oxford Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Alice Coxwell Browing. The family request that in lieu of flowers that donation may be made to the Oxford Church of Christ Youth Group.
